Tom Bieber is entering his ninth year in the Monmouth University Athletics Department and fifth as the Associate Athletics Director of Academic Support.
He oversees the advisement, academic eligibility, and coordination of a comprehensive degree progression plan for all of the department’s student-athletes. Bieber meets regularly with student-athletes one-on-one throughout their academic careers to ensure proper degree progression. Bieber also serves as a liaison to faculty with regards to ensuring student-athlete success in the classroom and identifying their academic needs. He also maintains a strong relationship with the various tutoring services on campus to enhance mandatory study hall requirements and to promote one-on-one tutoring sessions for those student-athletes with academic needs. Bieber helps educate faculty as well as advisors on campus of the various team practice times and common dates of competition so as to avoid scheduling conflicts upon course registration.
In addition, Bieber is entering his eighth year as the department’s advisor to the Monmouth Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (MSAAC), as well as his fifth year as the sport supervisor to the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field teams.
Bieber previously served as the Assistant Director of Student Development at Monmouth from 2009-2012, where he oversaw all academics for the men's soccer, men's and women’s tennis, and men’s and women’s golf teams. Prior to that he served as the Study Hall Coordinator, overseeing all study hall and tutoring functions, from 2008-2009. He is a 2007 graduate of Slippery Rock University, earning an undergraduate degree in Sport Management. In May of 2012, he earned his master's degree in Business Administration at Monmouth University.
Bieber currently resides in Tinton Falls, N.J. with his wife Erin.
