Nathan enters his 1st year with the Hawks as the head football athletic trainer. He also serves as the assistant NCAA drug testing site coordinator.
Before heading to West Long Branch, Nathan worked for 6 years at Old Dominion University as an assistant athletic trainer with the Monarchs.
Nathan’s primary sports were football, men's & women’s golf, women’s lacrosse and sailing. During his six years at ODU, Nathan supervised graduate students, assisted with inventory and was the medical summer camp coordinator. Prior to joining the Monarch medical staff he served as the assistant athletic trainer for football and swimming & diving at Georgia Southern University.
As a graduate assistant, Nathan worked as an athletic trainer for the Virginia Tech football and women’s softball teams for two years. The year between obtaining his master’s degree and working at GSU Nathan worked as the season long intern for the Cleveland Browns. He also worked with the Browns as a summer intern from 2001-2004.
Nathan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training with a minor in exercise science and health from Mount Union College, (OH) while working with the football, wrestling, track & field and basketball teams.
Nathan is married to the former Ciara Chaffee, they reside in Toms River, NJ with their one and a half year old daughter, Cora.
