2015: Made 17 appearances, starting eight games on the mound… Completed the season with a 5-7 record to go along with a 5.49 ERA and 53 strikeouts… Threw seven scoreless innings to pick up his first win of the year at VCU (4/17)… Pitched five innings while giving up no runs, two hits, and striking out seven vs Princeton (4/8)… Earned a win vs Saint Peter’s pitching seven innings and only giving up two runs (5/9).
2014: Made 17 appearances, starting two games and pitching a total of 41.2 innings during his sophomore season… Finished with an ERA of 5.18 and 22 total strikeouts with a 1-2 record… Allowed just one run in four relief innings at top-ranked Virginia (3/1)… Held Niagara off the board for 3.2 innings (3/29)… Worked two spotless innings at Manhattan (4/13)… Posted 2.1 more shutout stanzas at Seton Hall (4/22)… Started and got the win over Temple, going seven and allowing just two runs… Started MAAC Tournament elimination game against Siena, allowing four runs, three earned through six (5/24).
2013: Went from an option out of the bullpen at the beginning of the season to the Hawks’ No. 2 starting pitcher by season’s end… Went 5-2 with a 3.08 ERA in 12 appearances, six starts, finishing second on the team in both wins and ERA… Struck out 30 batters while walking just 11 in 52.2 innings pitched… Earned both NJCBA Pitcher of the Week and NEC Rookie of the Week on April 15 after pitching 15.0 innings of one-run ball to earn a pair of wins against Hofstra (April 9) and Wagner (April 14)… Earned a win in each of the first five outings in which he went at least 4.0 innings… Posted five scoreless outings to begin his collegiate career, holding No. 2 Vanderbilt (Feb. 23), Delaware (Mar. 3), Saint Peter’s (Mar. 27), Central Connecticut (Mar. 29) and Mount St. Mary’s (April 5) off the scoreboard… Went 4.0 scoreless innings against CCSU (Mar. 29) to pick up his first collegiate victory… Made his first career start against Hofstra (April 9), earning the victory with 8.0 innings of one-run ball… Followed up the solid performance with 7.0 innings of scoreless relief, striking out a career-high six to defeat Wagner (April 14)… Defeated Fairleigh Dickinson (April 20) and Sacred Heart (April 27) in consecutive outings, allowing three earned runs in each contest.
High School: Pitched at Sanford H. Calhoun High School… Guided the Colts to Nassau County Championships in 2010 and 2012 and a Long Island Championship in 2012… Finished high school with a 19-4 record and an ERA of 1.17 in his senior year… Named First Team All-County in 2011 and 2012 and First Team All-Long Island in 2012… Played in the Senior All-Star Game, as well as the Connie Mack World Series… Won the MVP of his league and was named a Diamond Award finalist in his junior and senior seasons.
