OPENING TIP
Monmouth and Fairfield meet in the MAAC semifinals this afternoon with a trip to the conference final on the line. MU swept the season series from Fairfield, and both teams won their quarterfinal game as the Hawks beat Rider and Fairfield topped Saint Peter's. This marks the second consecutive year that Monmouth has reached the conference semifinals.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES
The teams have met eight times overall and six times since Monmouth joined the MAAC in 2013-14. The first four games were decided by single-digits, with a combined margin of 15 in the four games prior to Monmouth's 12-point win at Fairfield on 1/11. MU swept the meetings last year and this year.

THE LAST TIME OUT
Monmouth advanced to the semifinals with a 59-48 win over Rider on Friday night. MU held the Broncs to 34.8% shooting and Justin Robinson set a tournament-record with eight steals while Micah Seaborn led MU with 14 points.

With a win tonight, Monmouth will advance to take on the winner of the other MAAC semifinal game between Iona and Siena in the MAAC Finals, Monday at 7pm.
