Iona Gaels (15-9, 10-5 MAAC) at Monmouth Hawks (11-12, 6-8 MAAC)
Powered by ten different scorers and three in double-figures, Monmouth never trailed to defeat Saint Peter’s on Friday night, 58-42. The Hawks held the opponent to its lowest scoring total of the season while holding the Peacocks to just 16-58 (27.6%) from the floor and 2-13 (15.4%) from deep. Monmouth also forced 24 turnovers in the win and grabbed 47 rebounds. Eleven Hawks played at least 10 minutes on the night, and Kayla Shaw’s four three-pointers led the way for a game-high 12 points. Shaw went into double-figures for the 14th time this season, and her 70 three-pointers on the season are just 10 away from the single-season program record. Monmouth looks to even its overall record during the 2:00 PM Play4Kay matinee with Iona today.

Iona is ranked third in the conference at 10-5, and had won six straight games before falling to Rider on Friday night, 52-36.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. IONA

In the first meeting of the season in New Rochelle, Monmouth trailed by just one with 1:36 remaining, but were unable to score again while Iona sunk five free throws to win 60-54.
