WOMEN’S TENNIS DEFEATED BY FAIRFIELD, 7-0

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ – A day after being edged by MAAC opponent Niagara, the Monmouth University women’s tennis team was defeated by conference foe Fairfield, 7-0. Adriana Armendariz won her first set at #1 singles by a score of 7-5, but was ultimately defeated in the third set, 10-8. Kendal Kauffman won her second set before eventually falling to Fairfield’s #4 Jessica Pil. Alexandra Graff and Victoria Nugent nearly won at #1 doubles, but were outlasted by the Stags, 6-4. At #2 doubles, Armendariz and Maria Ivanova almost came up with the win, but were defeated 7-6.

Monmouth will host LaSalle this Wednesday at 3:30 PM. The Hawks will then travel to UMES a day later for a 3:30 PM serve.
