EVANS AND RETH EARN NTCA All-AMERICA HONORS

BATON ROUGE, LA – Monmouth University bowlers Jackie Evans (Acton, MA/ Minuteman Tech [Lawrence Tech]) and Kaitlyn Reth (Baltimore, MD / Overlea [Baltimore Co. CC]) were recognized by the National Ten Pin Coaches Association as All-American honorees at the NCAA Bowling Awards Dinner on Wednesday evening.

Evans was one of five bowlers selected to the NTCA All-America Third Team, while Reth was named to the NTCA All-America Honorable Mention Team.

"Kate and Jackie performed well consistently throughout the season,” Director of Bowling Karen Grygiel. “They are talented players who have contributed significantly to our program."

Evans placed in the top-10 in five events during the 2016-17 season, including two-top three individual finishes at the FDU Jamboree and the Hawk Flight Invite. Reth also earned five top-ten finishes on the year, highlighted by her overall first-place performance at the James Brown Invitational.

As a team, Monmouth finished the season ranked No. 13 in the NTCA Poll and earned its first top-10 ranking in program history in November.
