NOTES & QUOTES
“We played a very challenging golf course and we didn’t get the results we wanted in the first round. We made some adjustments and the guys came back strong which allowed us to make the biggest jump on the leaderboard that I can remember. I am really proud of how the team reacted and responded in the second round.” -Head Coach Dennis Shea
- It’s the Hawks’ second top-10 result of the season.
- Monmouth finished in front of the five other MAAC schools in the event (Canisius, Manhattan, Niagara, Rider and Saint Peter’s).
- Ferriter, who now has 15 rounds in the 70s this season, has led the Hawks’ card for the second-straight week and fourth time this season.
- Burke was tied for fourth in the field with 23 even holes, while Ferriter and Hazam both recorded par 22 times.
-Hazam’s 153 is a new career-low for a 36-hole tournament.
