Men’s Preview: Dennis Shea’s squad enters the weekend looking to build off their strong showing at the Peacock Invitational and the Coca-Cola Lafayette Invitational where they finished in the top half in both events.  Senior Tommy Whelan, junior Kyle Burke and sophomore Drake Ferriter have teed off in all 19 rounds for the Blue and White this season with Ferriter, who earned MAAC Golfer of the Week accolades, leading the way with a 76.5 average. Whelan and freshman Andy Stock enter the Championships with matching 77.2 stroke averages, while Burke, who has a first place finish to his credit this season, sits .3 shots behind the duo.  Stock and Jesse Hazam will make their MAAC Championship debut this weekend.

Women’s Preview: Four of the five golfers who helped the Hawks record its highest finish at a conference championship a year ago will return to Disney this weekend.  Juniors Faith Garcia and Sarah Kokotajlo along with sophomore Haley Goodling have competed in all 20 rounds for the Hawks, while junior Erin DiDonato, who has teed in off in 19 rounds, leads the team with an 81.7 stroke average.  Goodling, who has a top-five finish to her credit, is a shot behind DiDonato for the team best.  Kokotajlo, who was named the MAAC Golfer of the Week last week, finished last year’s tournament as the individual runner-up, while Garcia will look build off her ninth place finish from a year ago.
