BOSTON, NEW YORK, STATEN ISLAND- Monmouth University’s men’s and women’s track and field teams wrapped up a busy weekend at meets at the New York Armory, Boston University and the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.



-At the Armory, Monmouth’s women’s squad finished 10th of more than 30 schools competing, featuring Oklahoma, Duke, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Maryland, Lehigh and Connecticut among others.
-The 4x800 relay team of Amber Stratz, Danielle Leavitt, Brianna Stratz and Chandi Piiru took first at the Armory Track Invitational, crossing the tape in 9:03.46. Senior Jenna Cupp claimed third in the mile with a time of 4:54.
-The Hawks earned a pair of wins at the Villanova Invitational held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. Molly McKeon won the mile with a time of 4:58.15 while senior Bryan Sosoo took gold in the 60m dash winning in 6.72 seconds. Mariah Hubbard took third in the triple jump, clearing 11.70m while Peter Guerriero was third in the 200m dash with a time of 21.99.
-At Boston, senior Tim Wilson (62’8”) went for third at the weight throw while fellow senior Troy Andretta (58’ 7 ¼”) claimed fourth in the same event. Reigning MAAC Field Athlete of the Week Jordan Wildermuth earned fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 55’ 3” with senior Alicia Hester 53’ ¾” taking seventh. Earlier in the day, Wildermuth took third in the shot put with a toss of 44’ 10 ¼”. Dan Gilligan earned third place finish in the shot put, earning an IC4A qualifying mark of 52’10”


Numbers Crunch:
Boston Highlights
-Senior Dom D’Agostino took fourth in the 3k with a time of 8:34.53
-Sophomore Allison Taub was fifth in the shot put with a mark of 42’ 10 ¼”
Armory Highlights
-Armory Tionna Garner was fifth in the 800m (2:11.13)
-Former Hawk turned pro Ford Palmer took second in the elite mile with a time of 3:58.78
Villanova Highlights
-Harrison Bickmore fifth in the high jump 1.92m
-Dean McDonald 4.55 tied for fifth in the pole vault
-Ashley McKinnon’s mark of 5.34m in the long jump was sixth
-Bryan Sosoo’s triple jump of 14.05m was fifth
-On the women’s side, Patrice Bastion was also fifth in the triple jump (11.26)
-Carson Taylor sixth in the weight throw with a throw of 15.00m
