GUERRIERO AND HUBBARD EARN MAAC WEEKLY AWARDS

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ.- Monmouth University’s Indoor Track and Field team recorded some impressive marks at Sunday’s Princeton Invitational and two freshmen have been earned MAAC Player of the Week honors.
Freshman Peter Guerriero (Lyndhurts, NJ/Lyndhurst) and Mariah Hubbard (Galloway, NJ/Absegami) have been named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Men’s Track Performer and Women’s Field Performer of the Week, respectively.
Guerriero, a freshman competing in just his second collegiate meet, won the 200m with an IC4A qualifying time of 22.61 at the Princeton Invitational.
Hubbard won the triple jump at the Princeton Invitational with a jump of 11.63m. The freshman from Galloway, NJ also took third in the long jump with a mark of 5.41, which was a career best.
Guerriero and Hubbard are the third and fourth Monmouth indoor track athletes to win awards this season, which is just two weeks old. MU is back in action on January 6th
